Morgan and Alex were good at budgeting until the kids came to live with them and Morgan felt the need to impress them and make them happy, so they bought things that were unnecessary for them at the moment. But Alex would walk to work just to save a few cents because every penny counted, and they had one bus card between the two of them.
8. Alex becomes so emotional when she receives things for their apartment from The Free Store because she couldn't believe how generous these people were. She wouldn't be able to afford these things for a very long time because she has a lot of other necessities for their budget. She was so happy that she finally has a place other than the floor to eat on in her home.
