8. I think Alex became so emotional about the services at the free store because people have forgotten to appreciate what they have. Before Alex and Morgan decided to live on minimum wage, they didn't have to do certain things like writing sending a deposit for electricity by check and etc. So to actually experience what people what people on minimum wage have to go through like getting free used clothes and stuff, a lot of people have forgotten about giving. Even while I sat down in the classroom, I could here student make remarks like "eww they have to use that old cover" and "that would never be me" but they don't understand that it could be them and this could happen to anybody at anytime. I am sad to say that because the American country has grown up with the ideals of the American dream and materialism, we have forgotten about the meaning of giving to one another. 7. The working poor are those who spent hours working and working and no matter what they are still bound to the lower class system. No matter how hard they work and how long, the check that they are presented at the end of the day does not suffice the effort that was put into their work.
